Gulf Coast Writers provide ideas, support, encouragement, resources and networking opportunities to fellow writers. Scores of members regularly publish their work. Others matriculate into the ranks of published authors each year. Genres include fiction, nonfiction, play and screenwriting, poetry, commercial media and children’s books.

Members and guests glean fresh, valuable insight at each meeting. Guest speakers, workshop presenters and member panels share expertise on a myriad of topics. And we update each other on news, events, outlets and people of interest.

Gulf Coast Writer Association membership includes reciprocal agreements with the Peace River Center for Writers in Punta Gorda, with Pine Island Writers, and with Marco Island Writers.

Networking continues in-between meetings by phone, email, special events, critique groups, and the club’s well-informed Website.
