C. P. TERTIUS is a pseudonym for a former military officer, corporate executive and university professor who is a semi­professional musician, blue-water sailor and adventure traveler. He has attained both civilian and military graduate and post­graduate diplomas and has been published technically under an alias. His travels have taken him around the globe several times with major stints in Latin America, Europe and Asia and he has resided in South-East Asia for several years. He is the author of the travel, adventure, romance novel, "Every Man Truly Lives Alone", as well as "Tales from Home & Around the Globe" and "More Tales from Home & Around the Globe".

This is my first book and I am 87 years old. It was published in the last month. I have received 50 copies and am beginning to promote the book anyway that I can. My life was quite adventurous- - One room schoolhouse with 8 grades - 13 in my graduating class in High School - Never knew anyone with a college degree except the Pastor and doctor - Graduated from University of Nebraska with an EE degree - Lived in 5 major cities - Started two companies - Had 4 surgeries including prostate cancer - Married for 35 years and had 2 children - In three years in the mid 90’s lost my company with 25 employees that I had built for 21 years (embezzlement and financial malfeasance), had prostate cancer surgery, had an unexpected divorce, and a brief bout with depression - Started another company and worked full time for 20 years beginning in 1997 - Cut back to semi-retired at 80 but by then had become financially comfortable again - Belonged to many churches, sports and political organizations Bet you can guess what the book is about! What I did right and what I should have done had I known. Book is called Encyclopedia of the Abundant Life and it covers 19 chapters of life starting with education and ending with aging. The neat thing about growing old is that you now see how it all turned out.

After a New York career in luxury goods marketing, Mary moved to SWFL and became an essayist and memoir writer, spurred by the pandemic that isolated us. She found Gulf Coast Writers during that time, as well as the hurricane-season fiction contest in Florida Weekly. These pursuits also led her into the art of oral storytelling which she practices before local audiences. Most of her stories rise from personal experience. She is inspired by the support and camaraderie of her Gulf Coast Writers family.

Ed DeJesus (pronounced D Geezus) is a former tech exec and software engineer with a diverse career. He has published in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Design Automation with Digital Equipment Corp. He was VP of Engineering for MSL, CEO of JustZip.com, and President of Sightline Solar. Parallel to tech, he served in the US Army Reserves, opened a record store when vinyl was hip, and was a realtor and mortgage originator. A Florida Gulf Coast Writers Association member, his latest novel, "The Vulnerable," is an Eco-thriller set in Massachusetts and Florida. He's a contributor to RichardHowe.com's blog, where his short stories reside on ‘Voices from Lowell and Beyond'; are slotted for publication in "The Lowell Review" many preview a memoir collection: Simpler Times in The Spindle City." Born in Lowell, MA, he raised his family in Chelmsford, MA, and retired in Fort Myers, FL, where he survived two category-4 hurricanes. When Ed’s not writing stories or at the gym, he enjoys reading, dancing, singing Karaoke, and traveling the world with his wife and children, who reside in NH and Sydney, Australia.
