The Brain Invaders: A Science Fiction Novel. A Battle for survival. The protection of nearly 3,000 years of alien probes research and the struggle to break the bonds between captive and captor.

Two nearly identical space probes studied every aspect of Earth for centuries, from the lowest creatures to humans to wars and discoveries. They continuously sent the information back to their home planet, but the return confirmation ended five hundred years without explanation. Their programming was sufficient for daily operations, but their power units failed exponentially, and they could no longer store the trillions of files internally. Within their memory banks, a solution listed a way to store the files in living creatures if they were compatible.
The probes settled on brain-dead humans, which worked well for hundreds of years.
For hundreds of years, humans kept their research safe while the probes kept sending new research to the creator’s planet without any return messages. Yet the storage vessels died regularly, and the probe’s power units continued to weaken. They devised a way to do so while they waited for relief from the creators. The most recent storage vessel went insane, and the desperate probes needed to find another storage vessel quickly.
In their weakened situation, they mis-evaluated an unconscious emergency room patient to be the perfect candidate. Brain-dead and probably dying. They intervened just enough to save him and continued stealing power from the electrical grid while awaiting their relief. After they inserted several centuries of research into his brain, he began to recover. The probes panicked when they realized their research was bleeding into his brain. As they started the battle, it became evident that neither could dominate without damaging the planet. Suddenly, he posed a danger that endangered the entire planet!
