Tell Us Your Story
GCWA has been around quite some time now. We have a very diversified membership and each has different reasons for being a part of our association. Some people have come and gone, and some have stayed. We want to hear your story and why you are with us.
Joanne Tailele, president of Marco Island Writers, interviews writers for her blog, Writing Under Fire. She has a huge backlog, so sign up now.
DL Havlin interview
A Place No One Should Go DL Havlin Interview by Joanne Tailele April 1, 2022
How skilled of a writer do your members need to be? I enjoy writing and want to start making more time for it, but I don’t have any completed books, only stories and some poems. I would love to get to know other writers and learn more from their experience and passion for writing. Is there room for a beginner like me?
GCWA is for all writers from want to be to award winning authors. You are welcome to join us.
Good Evening:
I got your brochure at the Alliance for the Arts. I have published a novel, loosely based on my experiences during 16 months of combat in Vietnam. Would that exclude me from membership? I might be interested in attendance.
Steve
Not at all. You are exactly what we look for. Come to our next meeting!
Why would that exclude you from membership? All writers welcome.
Judy
I moved to Fort Myers in November 2015, and have loved it every moment since. I’m looking forward to getting to know other writers and sharing our stories.
I came for networking with people who need my services. I totally agree with Tim though, absolutely every meeting I have attended, I have gotten valuable information, often on subjects I felt I had no interest in. Now, I am disheartened when I cannot make a meeting.
