Miller Audio Prize Contest

the Missouri review aud-cast

Announcing the new Miller Aud-Cast, an extension of the Miller Audio Contest

In this 14th year of the Miller Audio Contest, we are excited to announce a reimagining of the competition: the contest is now open year-round and 12 finalists from each of our four categories will be featured throughout 2021 on the new Miller Aud-Cast. At the end of 2021, one winner from among the 12 featured finalists in each category will be awarded $1000.

Learn more on our website, but there are a range of entry fees, all of which guarantee a one-year digital subscription to TMR, and each of which may be considered for publication in the Miller Aud-cast. We seek recordings of prose, poetry, audio documentary, and comedy of no more than 15 minutes. Note: previously published and broadcast pieces are valid for entry. Tell your friends!

Hindsight — Stories About 2020

hindsightWhat’s your 2020 story?

Hindsight is a collection of stories about 2020, written by people just like you. We’re seeking nonfiction stories from around the world that capture what it was like to wake up every day to a new normal — whether that means navigating emergencies as a first responder or tying the knot over Zoom. We’re particularly interested in material that gets up close and personal with the struggles of 2020, rather than headlines or commentary on current events.

Hindsight is an independent, one-time publication. Content will be made available in two forms: Some stories will be shared on our website; the very best submissions will be compiled into a print anthology, which will be published in 2021.

Submission fee: None

Length: Up to 2,000 words

Deadline: Rolling

Compensation: Writers whose work is selected for the print anthology will receive a complimentary hard copy of the book, as well as a digital file.

To learn more, please visit our website: www.hindsightbook2020.com.
