From the memories of a 90 year old alcoholic, (long sober, but still an alcoholic), first “diagnosed” by a US Army Medical Colonel while serving in the US Army in Germany, 1947. His earliest association with Alcoholics Anonymous came in 1958, and from that day to this he has attended meetings, sponsored several fellow alcoholics and been privy to hundreds of stories that seldom get heard outside of an AA meeting.
